The Multimedia Industry.

Brief Description.
The meaning of ‘multimedia‘: the combined use of several media, as sound and full-motion video in computer applications.
The meaning of ‘industry‘: any general business activity; commercial enterprise.
The multimedia industry helps people to understand the different medias and learn to interact, and get to know what modern technology can do in day-to-day living.
Sectors of the Industry.
The main sectors of the multimedia industry are: gaming & entertainment, education, and advertising. Each of these sectors can be broken into sub-sectors.
Description of Industry Bodies. There are two main industries are AIMIA and Multimedia Victoria. The AIMIA (Australian Interactive Multimedia Industry Association) hold competitions, advertise job opportunities for AIMIA, they have the latest news on what’s going on in the company (what they‘re achieving etc), development over the past 12 months etc. MMV (Multimedia Victoria) are in charge of multimedia in Victoria, and is more about Information Communication Technology rather than competitions etc.
